About (Biography)

Born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, I graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 1990.  I attempted college 3 semesters before giving it up not knowing what I wanted to do, not even thinking I could write, though those were always my best subjects. I married my husband, Jeff in August of 1991.

After years of minimum wage jobs and unproductive attempts to start a family, it was time to go back to school.  I started ECC in the Dental Hygiene program in 1994. I did well and as usual did well in my English programs. (wish I would have had a little more confidence then!) I graduated in 1997. 

I began reading heavily, a novel every couple days durning my last semester at school.  I was pregnant durning that semester with my first daughter. What else was I going to do during all those MD visits! I began working for a local dental offices until I finally settled in where I am now in 1999. I had 3 more children, two boys and another girl.

I began seriously writing stories on Labor Day weekend 2006.  My first completed novel, (Not the one I published) I finished over the weekend, spent another month editing and began submitting to agents and publishers, entering competitions, etc. My second book, The Teacher, I wrote that spring. And have continued writing since. 

After letting a couple friends read my manuscript and receiving feedback from them I was encouraged to do more but having four busy children, a husband, a house and a full time job I was pressed to find time for fun. I decided to self publish with CreateSpace.com and am completely satisfied.

My first novel, The Teacher, is now available through Amazon.com. I will soon start selling through this website and through soon to be scheduled meet and greets and book signings.

When I'm not working on marketing this book.  I'm editing my second and plan on having it ready by early 2012.
