Writer's Group

ATTENTION WRITERS!!!! Our writer's group is forming. Stop in the store to sign up. We'll meet once a month for an hour or two. We'll read each other's work and provide input(constructive criticism). I write romantic suspense and I dabble in a little poetry and I could definitely use some input! Each person would bring in a piece of work or a section of their work(10 pages max), we'd spend time reading each others work and then equal time talking about the various pieces. I'm looking for at least four people to sign up and I will e-mail everyone with more details.

We will have a writer's group meeting on the Friday September 18th at 1pm. Anyone interested please bring in a sample of your work we will spend time reading each other's work then spend an equal amount of reviewing it. I look forward to seeing you!

Below is a poem by my daughter Alicen. I will post a chapter from one of my books on here and welcome any and all comments or suggestions. I still want to form a writer's group but have only found one other interested person. Tuesday evenings are great nights here at the store to sit aside and talk about each other's work! Stop by soon!

I Wish I Had

I wish I had mountains of ice cream, pounds of sunsets, and truckloads of respect.
I wish I had pounds of flowers, mountains of beauty, and barrels of caring.
I wish I had acres of love, handfuls of friends, and shelves of fun.
I wish I had buckets of butterflies, miles of funniness, and and island of wonder.
I wish I had billions of sparkling waterfalls, blizzards of happiness, and a river full of compassion.
